Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that this is one way of encouraging and inspiring more Bulakenyos to be productive and give back to the province.

“We keep on searching and we keep having more.

According to the PPDO, the Gawad Dangal ng Lipi awards has 13 categories such as public service, professional, community service, entrepreneur, education, Science and technology, arts and culture, trade and industry, health, agriculture, sports, Bulakenyo Expatriate and Tanging Bulakenyo.

The Tanging Bulakenyo is the highest award given by the PGB to a Bulakenyo which will be awarded to the nominee that excels in the categories stated above and with an outstanding performance and contribution to the society.
