Bulacan hosts 9th PMAP Luzon Summit

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado hailed the contribution of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) in shaping up the economic landscape of this country and play an important role as part of the ASEAN integration.

“Our advantage in the Asean integration is our natural treasure--our human resources, our skilled and hardworking people,” Alvarado, who is also the chairman of the Central Luzon Regional Development Council, said.   

He said that PMAP’s endeavor to create a productive atmosphere in every workplace is helping the Filipino people achieve a better life by developing resources for the good of mankind.

“As you work together, you can accomplish a lot to bring about the change to good leadership and create a positive change among our people’s manager to create the most intensive effort in helping our economy grow,” Alvarado said in his inspirational message to the PMA Summit delegates.

Alvarado said that the Provincial Government of Bulacan is looking into the future with renewed hope and optimism, eager to embrace the exciting opportunities and meet the new challenges of a new dynamic and evolving marketplace.

“Let us create a new tomorrow, work today for that better future,” the governor added as he congratulated Beth Lopez Alonzo, head of the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office, in her capacity con-current Chairman of the 9th PMAP Luzon Summit and PMAP-Bulacan Chapter President Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, who is also the Provincial Tourism Officer of Bulacan.

Senator Teofisto “TJ” Guingona III also joined the governor in congratulating PMAP saying that the organization’s contribution to nation building  is integral to sustaining productivity and excellence in the workplace.

Guingona was the guest of honor and speaker during the two-day 9th PMAP Luzon Summit held at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here.

The senator, who was known for his battle cry “justice, health, peace”, was joined by provincial officials headed by Gov. Alvarado and Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando during the opening rites of the two day PMAP Luzon Summit.

“I came here to learn from PMAP, learn to better manage people,” he said.

He said that the workplace will continue to be productive if leaders and managers will know how to focus on the dreams and respect to the well-beings of workers in any fields.

“Promote the dignity of the people, I know that the 9th PMAP summit will be a venue for the renewal of shared commitment in respecting the dignity and dreams of Filipinos,” the senator said.

He congratulated the Provincial Government of Bulacan for hosting the PMAP summit saying it is very momentous and significant because the host province is home to the three Republics that brought forth the attainment of freedom and independence from foreign colonial rule.
