Parañaque City Treasurer’s Office reports collection increase

Efficient collection and assessment paved the way for the significant increase in terms of collection by the City Treasurer’s Office of Parañaque as early as the beginning of this year.

City Treasurer Anthony Pulmano, interviewed by these reporters, said that in 2013 the Treasurer’s Office collected an estimated amount of P500-million in January, while in 2014 with the same period the office has collected P650-million in business tax.

Pulmano also said that combined business tax and miscellaneous taxes collected in January 2015 reached P786-million.

“We have significantly increased our collections during the period of January from 2013, 2014 and 2015. Each year we have increased collection proving that efficient collection and assessment will definitely fuel positive output.

Pulmano also pointed out that tax collection increase will be to able to finance more and more significant programs and projects of the city local government of Parañaque.
