Mayor OLIVAREZ Vows More Benefits For Employees

City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez said he intends to provide more benefits for City Hall Employees namely the grant of Loyalty Award, monetization of Leave/Service Credits, Productivity Incentive Benefits and the grant of Uniform/Clothing Allowance (U/CA) on top of those mandated by existing laws in recognition of the important contributions of the city’s employees to community development and nation-building.
“We would like to show that in Bagong ParaƱaque, the welfare of our government workers is part of our drive in setting a whole new pace in the field of public service. After all, it is but right and fitting that the needs of those who serve be addressed since efficient service can only be delivered by happy and contented public servants,” the mayor said.
The grant of Loyalty Award is for all Government-Owned & Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) Employees and Officials of State Colleges and Universities (SCU) who rendered ten (10) years of continuous and satisfactory service in the government. Awardees shall receive a loyalty memorabilia/souvenir and cash gift will also be given to qualified officials or employees.
The Monetization of Leave/Service Credits for officials and employees for permanent, provisional, temporary or casual will be allowed to monetize a maximum of (Thirty) 30 days vacation leave/service credits for those who have a remaining of five (5) days vacation leave/service credits after monetization and for those officials and employees who accumulated not less than fifteen (15) days of vacation leave/service credits in which he/she can monetize not more than ten (10) days. Said monetization can only be availed once a year.
The Productivity Incentive Benefits will be given to employees on Scholarship attending a training course or those who are on Scholarship Grant provided that their performance ratings for the last two (2) rating periods immediately preceding their attendance to such activity is at least satisfactory. When it comes to employees on Leave of Absence with pay, continuous or intermittent for not more than ninety (90) days or three (3) months in a given calendar year are also qualified while employees on Leave of Absence with pay for more than ninety (90) days in one (1) rating period will not be able to avail the PIB.
The Grant of Uniform/Clothing Allowance (U/CA) of employees occupying regular, contractual or casual positions; appointive or elective; rendering services on full time or part-time basis are entitled to said allowance of not more than Five Thousand pesos (Php5,000.00) per year depending on the budget of the city government. If the budget is not sufficient in order to be fully implemented, said U/CA will be granted partially at uniform rates.
Mayor Olivarez announcement has been warmly welcomed by city hall employees as well as local officials.
