Grace Poe endorse Kapunan for senator

Presidential and vice-presidential candidate Senator Grace Poe on Friday proclaimed Aksyon Demokratiko's Atty. Lorna Kapunan as one of their senatorial candidates in the 2016 elections.

According to Poe, their tandem is endorsing Kapunan because of her strength.

In her speech, Kapunan outlined her agenda if she gets elected. Like Poe, she believes that the country's health care should be expanded.

She also wants to realign budget appropriations to prioritize education, improve the country's rice self-sufficiency, and create business opportunities for overseas Filipino workers to encourage them to come back to the country and stay with their families.

Kapunan also promises to provide senior citizens affordable health services, as well as incentives for doctors.



Roco, Poe said, was Kapunan's mentor, and her experience and achievements are a plus for their slate.

"Kailangan din natin ng maraming babae sa Senado. Ang mga bills sa senado ang mga babae ang namununo."
