Even a day before the anti-drug program launching last last May 20, 2015, Doria reported the arrest of a GSIS employee in front of Mcdonald’s Buendia in Pasay for the possession of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu.

In a follow-up operation conducted, Rodolfo Raymundo, 41 years old, jobless and residing at 21 Narra st., Canlubang, Laguna was arrested for the possession of two sachets of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu and one sachet of marijuana leaves and fruiting tops.

Also recovered one Hyunadai Genesis; one Mitsubishi Lancer; one PNP patrol shirt with a Laguna PPO patch with the rank of a Police Senior Inspector: one PNP ID with the rank of a Lt. Colonel; and three motor vehicle plates, including a government plate.

Raymundo was arrested along F.B. Harrison in Pasay and is now facing charges against the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and RPC 17 (Usurpation of Authority).

Regional Peace and Order Council Chairman and Pasay Mayor Tony Calixto said that ““we are all stakeholders in the fight against the use of illegal drugs. We all have a part to play in this major problem that challenges our community day and night,” Calixto said.

“I can not do it alone. The Police nor the Barangays. This must be a concerted effort among all sectors of Pasay --- the youth, the Church, family members, professionals, the business and the private sectors. We are 100% serious in the Campaign against the use of illegal drugs and substance abuse.”

As RPOC Chairman, Calixto, together with the different sectors of the City, today launched the “Pasay Kontra Droga” Anti-Drug Abuse Program to address one of the most pressing concerns of Metro Manila.

Pasay City is piloting the “Pasay Kontra Droga” Program which is being launched under the DILG’s “Kayang-Kaya kung Sama-Sama” Anti Drug Abuse Campaign for the documentation and replication by the 16 other Cities in Metro Manila.

As Chairman of the RPOC-NCR, Mayor Calixto has committed to revitalizing the anti-drug use campaign and committed to rally the 16 Mayors of Metro Manila. He was appointed as the second Chairman of the Council by President Benigno Aquino III next to former Caloocan Mayor Echeverri.
