PCSO distributes eight ambulances to Bulacan
The Provincial Government of Bulacan officials headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Gov. Daniel Fernando thanked President Benigno S. Aquino III and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for their unwavering help and assistance to the people of Bulacan during the ceremonial turn over of the eight brand new ambulances to different hospitals held at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center early this morning.
PCSO directors headed by Chairman Erineo “Ayong’ Maliksi distributed the new foton-ambulances to Bulacan Medical Center, Baliwag District Hospital, Calumpit District Hospital, Rogaciano Mercado Memorial Hospital (in Santa Maria), Plaridel Infirmary, Emilio Perez District Hospital (in Hagonoy), Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar District Hospital (in Bulakan) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Maliksi, a former governor of Cavite, said that the province of Bulacan is close to his heart because he started his government service together with the Bulacan governor, who is also the chairman of the Regional Development Council in Central Luzon.
Alvarado admired the generosity and kindness of PCSO and said that the new ambulances have boosted the provincial government’s capability to send help especially to far flung villages where these life-saving vehicles are mostly needed.
“Thanks to PCSO. You have made a difference and have helped people in need. Your generosity is an example that anyone can follow. PSCO people show their identities by what they show the world and how they treat those in need. Malaki ang maitutulong ng mga karagdagang ambulansya na ito para sa mga Bulakenyo,” the vice governor said as he delivers the message in behalf of the governor.
Maliksi also said that PCSO will also be supportive to the provincial government in helping people who are in need and said that with the use of the new ambulances, Bulakenyos will continue to receive quality healthcare especially in times of emergencies.
