Calixto’s “Pasay Task Force Undas 2015” in Full Gear

Pasay City Mayor Antonino “Tony” G. Calixto ordered “Task Force Undas 2015” into full gear today as all the City’s critical offices are placed on red alert.

“It is imperative that this year’s commemoration of the All Saints Day will the same as peaceful as the previous years”, Mayor Calixto said.  Calixto is the Regional Peace and Order Council Chairman.

The Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office deployed Traffic Officers, along the roads and around the vicinity of the two (2) cemeteries in the City.

For the Sgt Mariano Cemetery, traffic enforcement deployment include: EDSA/Don C. Revilla St.; EDSA/Tramo st.; Tramo st. in front of the Five Star Bus Terminal; Tramo st. /Don C. Revilla st.; Tramo /Edang st; and, Tramo st/Dilain Bridge (southbound).

In and around the vicinity of the Pasay City Cemetery in Cementina street, traffic enforcement deployment are posted in: Arnaiz/Aurora sts.; Arnaiz/Hidalgo sts; Arnaiz/Dian sts; Arnaiz/M.dela Cruz sts; Arnaiz/Marconi sts; M. dela Cruz/Esgeurra sts; and roving Traffic Officers roving along the stretch of Arnaiz st.

Likewise, Pasay Traffic Officers will be deployed major roads leading to and from cemeteries including: EDSA/Taft Rotonda; EDSA/Heritage; EdSA/Macapagal Ave.; Andrews Ave; Domestic Road; Harrison st;  Leveriza st; Taft Ave; P.Burgos st; Buendia Ave; Taft Avenue; and the stretch of Macapagal Avenue.

The Pasay-PNP has also posted its personnel in strategic critical areas near the cemeteries as well as the City’s bus terminals located along EDSA, Taft Avenue and Buendia Avenue for public assistance, security and to ensure the general peace and order in the area.

Days before, the City Government conducted clearing operations of illegal road obstructions along the routes leading to and from the said cemeteries. And as early as Thursday, October 29, 2015, all motorists were advised to expect very heavy traffic in and around the major thoroughfares of Pasay.

Further, the Pasay Rescue Team has already pre-positioned ambulances with highly-trained responders and medics in strategic areas to respond to medical or any emergency situation.

Constant and regular public advisories, including designated parking areas, road closures and all traffic announcements, are posted by the Public Information Office (PIO) in the City’s Official Media Accounts. The public is advised to log on to the Pasay PIO facebook and the @pasaypio tweeter accounts for real-time advisories and answers to queries about Pasay Undas 2015.
