We Will Host The 2017 Ms Universe!
The Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo announced that the Miss Universe 2017 grand will be held in the Philippines.
Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo confirmed the news at a press conference today. She added that the expenses will all be assisted by the private sector.
“I would like to inform everybody that the Miss Universe pageant will be on January 30, 2017 in the Philippines,” said the Tourism Secretary. This is the third time the pageant will be held in the country; the first one was in 1974 and the second was in 1994.
Early this month, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach flew to the Philippines to meet with President Duterte and asked to entertain the possibility of holding the next Miss Universe in the Philippines.
President Duterte approved but said expenses must be shouldered by private sector.
This couldn't have been possible if not for the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach.
