Dialogue of PBGEN PASCUAL G MUÑOZ, JR with different Chieftains of Oriental Mindoro "Your greatness is not what you have, it is what you give" PBGEN PASCUAL G MUÑOZ, JR, Regional Director with the Regional Staff , personnel and Mrs. Marites N. Munoz, Adviser of OLC MIMAROPA Chapter conducted dialogue to the Chieftains of different municipalities of Bulalacao, Bansud, Bongabong, Pinamalayan, Puerto Galera and Naujan in Oriental Mindoro held recently (Feb. 19, 2021) at PRO MIIMAROPA Headquarters, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. During the said activity, the Regional Director and Adviser of OLC MIMAROPA Chapter, extended their sincere gratitude for the prompt acceptance of the invitation. For the first time, the chieftains were gathered in the Regional Headquarters of PRO MIMAROPA, which signifies that the government, especially the policemen, does not neglect the sentiments of the tribesmen. This is in line with the surrender of the 22 Indigenous People (IP) on February 15, 2021 at PRO MIMAROPA with PMGEN ANGELITO A CASIMIRO, TDL, during the 30th PNP Foundation Day Celebration which had a good effect to the campaign on ELCAC. Likewise, the Regional Director expressed his understanding regarding the discussion about ancestral domains claimed by the Mangyan tribes. Moreover, he encouraged the chieftains to have their full support for the EO 70 otherwise known as “Institutionalizing The Whole Of Nation Approach in Attaining Inclusive And Sustainable Peace, Creating A National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, And Directing The Adoption Of National Peace Framework”. The chieftains discussed their previous experiences on and before the government has given full attention about their thoughts and objectives for the whole tribe. Afterwards, he invited them for the coming visit of our CPNP. In addition, the tribal chieftains expressed their gratitude for the PRO MIMAROPA and they promised to help the government to curb the CPP/NPA. Further, the chieftains received 140 pieces of 25kg sacks of rice, food packs, P.A.C.S. health essentials and financial assistance from P.A.C.S. (Protection Against COVID-19 Sickness a Joint Project between PRO MIMAROPA and OLC MIMAROPA Chapter) to be distributed to their constituents. The said activity ended at about 1:30 PM with the same date. “Let’s VOLT-IN. So, we can work and fight as ONE FORCE!” #AIDA TAGUICANA / BERNIE GAMB
